Smoky Maple Sage Rub

  • 3 tbsp McCormick Grill Mates Smokehouse Maple Seasoning
  • 1 tsp rubbed sage
  • 1 tsp thyme leaves
  • 1 tsp black pepper, coarse ground
  • 2 tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
Mix all rub ingredients in small bowl. Coat surface of each pork patty evenly with the rub. Reserve remaining rub.

Breakfast Pork Burger

  • 2 lb ground pork
  • 4 homemade or frozen Belgium waffles
  • Maple syrup
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 fried eggs
Grill pork burgers over medium heat 4 to 6 minutes per side or until burgers are cooked through (internal temperature of 160ºF).

Keep bacon and pork burgers warm in a 170F oven while you cook the waffles.

Make your favorite waffles. To serve, place a quarter piece of waffle on your plate and drizzle with maple syrup. Top with cheese, 2 slices of bacon, burger, egg and another quarter of waffle.
