Pot Stickers

Makes 3 dozen

Ingredients
3/4 lb won bok, blanched
1/2 lb ground pork
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp sherry
1 tbsp shoyu
1/4 tsp sugar
1/2 cup green onion, chopped
12 oz wonton skins
2 tbsp salad oil
1/2 cup water for steaming

Directions
  1. Chop won bok very fine; squeeze and drain.

  2. Combine filling ingredients and mix well.

  3. Put 1 tbsp of filling in center of each wrapper. Dampen edges slighly and fold in half and seal edges.

  4. Heat oil in skillet, arrange dumplings and cook on medium heat until bottoms are brown.

  5. Pour in water, cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes or until water evaporates.
